I was looking through my old cards and stumbling upon some favorites I hadn’t used in years, whether it was because of the cards’ weakness against the current scene, or just forgetting where I put them.

SO, I was thinking. As a great way to get this group rolling, all of the players here should pick out one old card that you haven’t used in a good long time, and make a deck focused entirely around that card. Choose your supports carefully, Kaiba. And extra credit for not using ghey staples.
    When we’re done, let’s have a tournament!

Oh man that sounds like a great idea. I’d have to burrow through some of my old cards a bit, but I remember Musician King being one of my favorites. Him and Karate Man were always one of my favorite cards.
Although Musician King is made of Lady of Faith and Witch of the Black Forest… I never really understood that. Does it mean that the girls give him life? I guess that’s a good stereotype of hair metal. Lol.

    Regardless let’s DO IT KAIBA.

I had to do the same thing, so don’t worry about it. I couldn’t believe the awesome cards I had forgotten. Omg, Karate Man was so cool.
…Musician King is made of Lady of Faith and Witch of the Black Forest? That doesn’t make any sense, LOL. Why did I never question that, even looking at the card? It’s gotta be his hair.

    YOSH.

I run three Karate Men in my deck. Just like Honest.
    Ugh. I hate YGO players.

  • Avatar Image kaitaru said 9 months, 1 week ago:

Make a karate deck and I’ll give you anal. :| No questions asked.

Yeah, YGO players, eh. I can’t hold it against the top players who run those kinds of decks to win, and actually have backup decks for actual fun games. But the lack of creativity in the endgame is ridonculous and completely unnecessary.
And it’s not even required. People make metagame-breaking decks all the time that don’t have those staples. Those cards are just a fallback when you don’t know what you’re doing and you need a little bonus IMO.

I once had a dragon deck with the focus of getting blue eyes ult out. But I gave it away… and his mom put it through the wash…. T_T
It really sucked though, but had so many great cards T_T
It’s feels like someone played dark hole on my life T_

emo’ness aside, my favorite was probably relinquished, which my effect deck already focuses on a lot (and no, I couldn’t come up with a better name for it)… Kaiba boy

Never played YGO TCG, I was always an MTG guy

  • Avatar Image elflordy2k said 7 months, 1 week ago:

MTG is great, I play both. At college I was able to find magic players easier than yugioh players

Magic is more of a universal game, so I like it for that. ^^

Magic: their newest set is another Mirrodin one, isn’t that awesome? And creative? (is the sarcasm working?)
YGO: Dark snake Syndrom, no matter how many times I’ve tried using it, it ends with me dying first. Despite this, I love the card, and other cards like it
